RV Plumbing Fixtures - The Simple Things Are Sometimes Best

No one wants to think about their plumbing. Why should they? If it works, it works great; if it doesn't work, well, we hope that there isn't a correlation between how bad it sounds and the cost of a plumber. There are some ways to avoid the majority of the problems in the first place. One such place is with the fixtures. A plumbing fixture such as a toilet, faucet, sink, or lever will often be exactly what you paid it to be and for how long. Unfortunately, unless you are a professional, the true cost of that cheap material is rarely known. That is why when I had to choose my RV plumbing fixtures, I was careful to buy only the best, no matter the cost.

No, RV plumbing fixtures are probably not the most important type of plumbing that there is, but the fixtures serve much more of a purpose than simply the aesthetic purpose most people believe. Finding the right fixture can either be done once, or when that cheaper model of the same fixture decays with age because it isn't the same quality. When I started to choose fixtures for my RV, I wanted the best. I knew that RV would be in my life for a long time and I was going to have the best fixtures out there. Not only for looks, but for functionality as well.

Obviously, there is a lot of debate on which model of this or that is best. I did my research via the Internet and suggest the same for you. Do some research for a day or two before making a final decision on what you actually want via what you actually need. There are tons of sites that offer useful suggestions and ratings on which is best for your RV needs. If anything, you can ask the sales clerk for assistance, if they try to instantly sell you the most expensive, go elsewhere. There is nothing as bad as a pushy sales clerk. All they want is an expensive sale, and they probably have no idea which is better anyway.

I have found that I like brass fixtures whenever possible. Sometimes, this may not be an option. I am sure there are brass toilets out there, but it seems mighty cold to me. I prefer to just have an old-fashioned porcelain toilet. I do like the more modern designs simply because they clog less often, but for my RV plumbing fixtures, I should an RV toilet fixture.

RV plumbing fixtures do not have to cost a lot of money, but many things good cost a bit extra. I have never found that the cheapest RV plumbing fixtures on the market would suit my needs. I sometimes get the most expensive, but usually there is a middle ground where my purchases fall. When you are ready to shop for your RV plumbing fixtures, ask yourself the true value of what you are purchasing. Sometimes, something cheaper is just that: cheap.
